I do a bit of both, but i get the most comments on short posts, and here and there i stick a long one in and it gets more attention.

Yeah their Face & Body foundation/powderstuff is basically white, maybe you should try it - although I have never used it (we don't have MAC pro's in Belgium) but I heard a lot of good stuff about it from other pale people. If it's too white you can always mix it with the lightest foundation they have.
