0805 - APRIL FAVOURITES

I love doing Monthly Favourites! So here we go for last months' favourites - seriously, where did April go? Flew by so incredibly fast. Oh and, excuse me for the pictures. I wanted to make these with my camera but it instantly died while making them... Which makes me very, very sad. So I just snapped some pictures with my phone, they're not great but yeah :)

Bright lips
My absolute favourites for this past month, nice bright lips. I love a good lip. But I can never combine it with a bare eye, I have to have some eyeshadow, liner and mascara on my eyes. And it works just fine for me, there's no reason to not combine a bold lip with bold eyes!

Good skin
With all my skin problems lately, my Face&Body foundation didn't deliver enough coverage for my face anymore. I decided to look into some other foundations and I got samples from the Mineralize Compact foundation (with spf15) and the Prolongwear foundation. I immediately loved the Mineralize Compact, but ofcourse it was sold out. They gave me another sample to get through the week so I'll probably be picking it up as soon as it's in. I'll do a review on this as soon as I have it, cause photos of samples aren't really that charming.
Of course the Careblend pressed powder had to be in here again. As you can see, I've hit pan... And I've only had it for about two months. Crazy. I already bought a back up, duh, best powder ever.
And for blushes... Ah, I love blushes. I think Prism from M.A.C. might be my all time favourite, but since I own Buff, it's getting huge competition. LOVE Buff, it's such an amazing but natural colour, even on my superpale skin.

Eyes
As for eyeshadows... Brule and Dazzlelight made it right into my top 10 favourite eyeshadows. I already owned Brule in the Champale quad but goddamn, what an amazing eyeshadow, so I bought a refill for my palette. Dazzlelight... Oh I had been eyeing Dazzlelight for a while now, best highlight colour ever, way better than Shroom! I also even use it as a highlight on my cheekbones. There's also Nehru, which is in my humble opinion, wayyy better than that goddamn awful eyeshadow Carbon... I hate Carbon, I really do. Love Nehru. Go to your M.A.C. counter and swatch it, you'll see the difference.
I already have found my holy grail mascara (which is M.A.C.'s Splashproof Lash) but I ran out of it while I was in Oslo and decided to try a mascara from Make Up Store, the Long Lash mascara. All I can say is that it does what it promises to do! Clinique High Impact mascara was lying around on my make up table too, so I decided to give it a go and I love it as well. Not as much as Splashproof though, but it's a pretty good mascara.
Among my favourite things in make up are definitely pigments. I need to buy more. This one is called Rose, it's beauuutiful peachy pink with a golden sheen. I'm in love!
I think I've mentioned hating Blacktrack Fluidline before. So please everyone, throw it in the garbagecan and pick up Chromaline in Black Black. Really, how can Fluidline be so hyped? It's rubbish - wears off so easily and dries out like cazy.

Brushes
My brushes are my babies. I already owned a 130 for my make up kit, but I wanted one for myself aswell because it's awesome - for foundation, powder, highlight and blush. The white blendingbrush from MUS is like M.A.C.'s 217, and the angled one is a pretty standard brush but works good for me for eyeliner.

Nails
Is it weird that I think this dark grey nailpolish from OPI is just perfect for spring? I just can't get used to wearing bright nailpolish, I get sick of it after one day. But this shade, oh, I can wear it for days. The quality is amazing. And the base coat is pretty amazing too, helps to make my beautiful nailpolish stay on even longer and makes my nails stronger.

Perfume
My all time favourite, Daisy from Marc Jacobs. It kicked Miss Dior Cherie of it's throne as my favourite. Seriously, this is the smell that makes me so happy and feel so incredibly feminine and beautiful...

  3. It is! Way more pigmented. I've worked with Carbon before and thought it was awful, even when you use a black base underneath!
