Urban Decay Naked Palette

I never really understood why this palette became such a hype. I personally don't really care about neutral and brown eyeshadows that much - I own a bunch from M.A.C. already and I don't wear them all that often to be honest. I also wasn't very keen on Urban Decay because I truely hate their Primer Potion.

But still. A few weeks back I had the chance to pick this palette up and I thought - why not? Worst case scenario I can still use it in my kit for brides and such if I didn't like it for myself. And so it arrived at my home, and at first I was still sceptic about it.

To be honest, I had never used Urban Decay eyeshadows before and I didn't expect them to be better than my neutral/brown M.A.C. eyeshadows... But well, here we are and I have to say that they are better than most of them. Most of them, because the two matte shades in this palette could never compete with matte M.A.C. eyeshadows. But when it comes to some of their satiny, shimmery eyeshadows... The Urban Decay ones feel just way more buttery, are more pigmented and easier to blend I think.

I still don't get the hype but overall, this is a very nice-to-have palette. The packaging is pretty, and I guess it's just nice to have all these colours in one palette. It's good for travel and it also has a mirror inside of it (which I don't care about really, but some people seem to do).

Oh yeah, there's also a flat eyeshadowbrush and a small Primer Potion that comes with this palette. The brush is okay I guess, I use it for applying cream eyeshadows. The Primer Potion... Garbage can please.

  2. I bought this palette cuz i only use neutral shadows and love it! I dont like the primer, it creases so fast! I prefer the artdeco one, cheaper and better! and the brush... crap! i don't use it, it was better the version with the double brown/black 24/7 eyepencil...
